If you have the space in a garage or outbuilding you could buy a spare fridge that's just for entertaining that you could fill with wine, beer and other types of alcohol and drinks so you're always stocked and ready for guests. A well stocked spirits selection too means you can always whip up a cocktail.

For a more formal dinner party, you might want to have some background music playing, so investing in a good smart sound system could be a good move. For a more relaxed get-together, you could consider setting up some games or activities, lawn games are fantastic for summer do's or you could even go with a movie night. Regular movie nights could make purchasing a big tv well worth it, and it's something you and your family will use every day too. Consider your guests' interests and preferences, and plan accordingly.
